This year the spring outing of the Registro took us to the region of Romagna, more precisely Ravenna and the Comacchio lakes. The participants admired the mosaics in the Ravenna churches and in the Mausoleo of Galla Placidia. The roadbook included such surprises as the lake and lagoon region of Commachio, the visit of Commachio village with its triple arched bridge (really rare !), the ferry over the river, and the most interesting Pascoli museum, dedicated to the Vespa.
And how can we forget the visit of Brisighella, with its « donkey trail » and the restaurant excavated in the mountainside. At the end of the tour we had the opportunity to visit an old paper mill transformed into a ceramic laboratory, where we admired the creation of impressive artworks. And finally what can we say about the cooking, all restaurants were impressive, and all participants satisfied, especially those coming from Switzerland, Germany and England. Some had problems with the quality of the benzina / fuel, however they were overcome.
We would like to extend our thanks to Lauro Garotti and his wife for the organization of this event, and say goodbye to all. See you next year in Viterbo !
